What are three basic fundas for hiring a VA?

Fundas is a slang meaning cool or awesome, but often used instead of basics or fundamentals, considered a unit; concept; understanding.

Before hiring VA you must be aware of the reality that most of the VA’s are ex-executives or ex-employees that just chose to stay at home, for whatever their personal reasons are.  This means they are educated and experience, waiting for their expertise to be tapped by employers in this virtual world. Someone like me, I have worked for MNC’s and served some of the World’s top companies. I just quit my job, as my mother in laws’ was ill and there was no other woman in house to take care of my two year old kid. I liked to stay at home and rear my kid. Prepare him for school and all the things which I am responsible as a mother and that a Nanny can’t do for him.

As I have emphasized in my previous post “How to manage workload virtually?” hiring a VA is just the same as hiring a secretary or in-house staff.  The only thing that will differ would be that it’s done virtually – via the internet. So to be a part of this revolution where a florist from London has VA, recruitment in New York is done virtually by qualified HR from Manila and list goes on.

Post the detailed requirement- While posting a job, be specific with your requirements and jolt down every detail of work you would like the VA to do for you. In this way you will be very clear in what you expect and set goals for your assistant. It will reduce ambiguity and increase performance.
You can expect more efficiency than you would with in-house staff. Usually someone on staff has a lot of downtime, because there are breaks, conversations with co-workers and so on. There are studies that show a VA who doesn’t have these distractions can get through an eight-hour day’s worth of work in four hours.
Hire Qualified Assistants -Look for a VA who specializes in your industry. Depending on the type of work you need, seeking out a VA who knows your industry may be well worth the effort. Some might be familiar with IT business and some with general admin work. VAs are usually experts that possess diverse experiences in different fields such as Consulting, Advertising, Real Estate, Internet Marketing,SEO etc.
Background checks- Do check out VA carefully before you hiring. A prospective VA should expect that you will want to have a detailed interview, and also check references with current or former clients. And, if the VA will be handling sensitive or valuable materials, you can take it a step further. It's always better to hire from small companies then individuals.
In view of the above, whatever tasks you have and don’t want invest time doing it yourself, you can hire a VA. If you have a task there is always a person who can do that for you.
Finding the perfect VA for your task is your decision, as there are many outsourcing services online, you can surely get the services you wanted. Do you think you need to hire a VA? You can get in touch with us.

Won’t you agree that we all are suffering from information overload? Every morning when you start your work first thing you will notice hundreds of email pending in mailbox. Sometimes we will feel if someone could have sorted relevant emails and would have answered crucial email missing deadlines. So why don’t you hire a secretary/assistant that can help you with all such jobs. Now as we are in Virtual World, we can utilize services of a person working from a remote location over internet. He/she would do same task as a personal secretary but virtually.
If you are not familiar with the term virtual assistant or you are a new to this… you may wonder what I am talking about. The term has been defined in philosophy as "that which is not real" but may display the salient qualities of the real. Colloquially, 'virtual' is used to mean almost, particularly when used in the adverbial form e.g. "That's virtually [almost] possible". The person would not be around you physically but can help you from other part of the world over internet- Thanks to internet ;-)
Come take benefit and enjoy your virtual existence. It’s all new world……step forward….OPEN… the World is knocking at your door….reach out…the WORLD IS CALLING YOU
Watch out this space for more … :-)
